Acupuncture

Acupuncture has been practised in China for more than 3000 years now. It involves inserting extremely fine sterile needles into specific acupuncture points along acupuncture channels of the body.

The aim of acupuncture is to relieve pain, promote healing, and improve general health and wellbeing by conducting energy or qi which connect with the body’s internal organs and course its channels. Qi pronounced “Chee” helps to regulate balance in the body. Each acupuncture point has a different suggestion on the qi that passes through it.
Acupuncture has been proven to work by stimulating the central nervous system which then releases neurochemicals to reduce and relieve pain, reduce inflammation and restore the body’s internal equilibrium.

Electro Acupuncture
During Electro acupuncture an electric current via a tens machine is attached to an acupuncture needle used to reinforce the function of the acupuncture point.
